Strawberry Swirl Chiffon Cake

  • 2 1/4 cup Cake flour
  • 2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Water
  • 8 pcs Egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup Corn oil
  • 1 tsp Strawberry extract
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup Egg whites
  • 1 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1 box Whipping cream
  • Fresh strawberry for garnish
  1. Line baking pan with parchment paper, ungreased. Set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, sift flour, measure and sift again twice together with baking powder and salt.
  3. Make a well in the center and add the rest of the first mixture. Set aside.
  4. In a mixer bowl, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and beat until foamy. Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff but not dry. Fold beaten egg whites onto the first mixture just to blend.
  5. Pour in prepared pan. Bake in preheated oven set to 350° F for 55 minutes.
  6. Remove cake from the oven and transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Frost cake as desired.
