Pastillas De Gabi (Taro Root )

Made out of young gabi or taro root,condensed milk sugar.

  • 2 cups young gabi, boiled and
  • coarsely chopped
  • 1 (300 ml) can condensed milk
  • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar


  1. Blender gabi and condensed milk until smooth.
  2. Cook over low heat in saucepan.
  3. When thick, add confectioner's sugar.
  4. Continue cooking until almost dry.
  5. Transfer into butter-greased pan. Then cut into desired pieces.
  6. Roll in granulated sugar.
  7. Serve or wrap in colorful Japanese paper or cellophane.
