Honey Almond Glazed Toast

  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened 
  • 2 tablespoons honey 
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds English muffins, bagels or doughnuts, split in half, or French bread, cut into 1-inch thick slices
In small bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, honey and cinnamon; beat until fluffy. Gentry stir in almonds. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

To serve, spread brown sugar mixture thinly over cut side of English muffins, bagels, doughnuts or one side of French bread.

Place on cookie sheet. Broil 6 to 8 inches from heat for 1 to 2 minutes or until topping is bubbly. Serve immediately.

Microwave Directions:

Prepare spread as directed above. Toast English muffins, bagels, doughnut halves or French bread slices. Spread thinly with brown sugar mixture. Place on paper towel. Microwave each on HIGH for 25 to 35 seconds or until topping is bubbly.
