  • oven
Procedure

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F for 30 minutes.
  2. Cream sugar and butter in electric mixer set at speed #2.
  3. Switch off mixer after a few minutes and scrape off mixture sticking on the sides of the bowl. Continue mixing until fluffy.
  4. Alternately mix and ad the eggs one at a time.
  5. Switch off mixer after a few minutes and, again, scrape off mixture sticking on the sides of the bowl
  6. Sift cake flour, milk powder and baking soda in another bowl.
  7. Set mixer to speed #1. Alternately mix and add small amounts of the flour mixture and small amounts of water to the ingredients being mixed.
  8. Switch off the mixer and scrape batter from the sides of the bowl.
  9. Reset mixer speed to #2. Continue mixing until the batter is smooth and fine. Switch off mixer.
  10. Grease the insides of 3 loaf pans with butter. Line pans with wax paper.
  11. Pour batter into the loaf pans until half full.
  12. Shake the loaf pans and lightly strike the pans against the palm of your hand to tightly pack the batter.
  13. Bake for 45 minutes at 375°F until top of cake is golden brown (or until toothpick inserted in center, to test if the cake is done, comes out clean.)
  14. Remove cake from the oven, transfer it from the loaf pan to a tray and cool. Decorate before serving.
