- 1 (5 lb.) chicken
- 1 (#2) can tomatoes
- 3 onions
- 3 green peppers
- 1 sm. bunch celery
- 1/4 lb. currants
- 1/4 lb. almonds
- 1 1/2 tsp. curry
- 1/2 lb. butter
- Salt and pepper
Stew chicken until tender, 1 prefer hen. Dice chicken, roll in flour, salt and pepper and brown in butter. Chop all other ingredients and cook together until almost done enough to eat. Mix chicken and cooked ingredients and heat together. Add almonds last.
*If 5 pound hen not available, substitute 2 young chickens and use only best pieces.
