Jewish Sweet-Sour Meatballs

Ingredients:
Mix the beef, bread crumbs, garlic, eggs, salt and pepper together and form into 6 balls. Brown in hot oil and fry the onions in the same fat. Put the meatballs into a casserole with the fried onions and tomato juice mixture.
Add the bay leaf. Roast the meatballs uncovered in a slow oven (275 degrees F.) or over low heat for about 45 minutes.
- 2 lb. minced beef
- 3 oz. bread crumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 eggs
- Salt and pepper
- 5 tbsp. oil
- 2 onions, diced
- 1 c. of tomato juice with brown sugar and lemon juice mixture
- 1 bay leaf (optional)
