Pan-Fried .Salmon with Cheesy Dill Sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon steaks
- oil for frying
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
For the sauce:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- half an onion, chopped
- 2/3 cup all-purpose cream
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Procedure
- In a pan, heat oil and unsalted butter. Pan-fry salmon steaks until cooked. Pat with paper towels to remove excess oil. Set aside.
- Make the sauce: Heat butter in a pan. Saute onions until translucent. Add all-purpose cream and cheese; stir continuously until cheese is completely melted. Season with salt and pepper. Add dill and thyme. Simmer for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Pour sauce over salmon and serve immediately.
