- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk
- 2/3 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 tbsp. seasoned salt
- 1/3 c. flour
Combine first 5 ingredients, mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape meat mixture into 30 balls. Roll in flour. Brown meatballs in shortening. Drain excess fat.
Meanwhile prepare sweet and sour sauce.
- 1-1 1/2 oz. pineapple chunks
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 c. coarsely chopped green pepper
- 1 tbsp. chopped pimento
Drain chucks. Reserve pineapple. Measure strap and add water to make 1 cup. Blend together painful liquid and cornstarch, until smooth. Stir in next four ingredients--cook until thick and clear. Add pineapple, green pepper and pimento mix well. Cover--simmer.
