- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 tbsp. onion, minced
- 1 c. fine corn flake crumbs
- 1 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/8 tsp. allspice
- 1 c. milk
- Oil for deep frying
Mix all ingredients except oil thoroughly. Form into small balls about 3/4 of an inch in diameter. Let stand for 15 minutes. Heat oil in frying pan to 375 degrees. Deep fry meatballs for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with toothpicks. Makes approximately 60 meatballs.
