Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 can whole water chestnuts (double 2 cans)
  • 1/2 lb. bacon strips, halved (double 1 lb.)
Directions:

Wrap water chestnuts in bacon with toothpicks. Bake 1/2 hour (either regular or toaster oven) at 325 degrees. Drain off grease and blot on paper towel. Cover with: 2/3 c. catsup
1/2 c. brown sugar

Don't cover toothpicks! Let sit awhile may be done night before. Bake before serving 300 degrees 1/2 hour or more. Sauce will cover double recipe.
